These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the NovelForge platform at novelforgeapp.com ("the Service"), operated by [Your Business Name], registered at [Your Registered Address] ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
NovelForge is an AI-assisted writing platform that helps you develop novels from concept to a KDP-ready manuscript through an 11-stage pipeline. The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate content based on your inputs and creative direction.
We do not guarantee that AI-generated content will be free from errors, factual inaccuracies, inconsistencies, or unintended similarities to existing works. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and fact-checking all generated content before use or publication.
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy (section 9).
NovelForge offers a Free plan and paid subscription plans (Author and Bestseller), as described on our Pricing page. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually through our payment processor, Stripe.
By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorise us to charge the applicable fees to your chosen payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. Prices are listed in US dollars and are inclusive of any applicable VAT unless stated otherwise.
We may change our pricing with reasonable notice. Price changes will take effect at the start of your next billing period after the change is communicated.
Top-up credits are one-time purchases that add additional novel credits to your account. Top-up credits never expire and are available until used. Top-up credits are non-refundable once purchased (see section 7).
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your Billing page. When you cancel:
We do not offer automatic pro-rata refunds for unused time within a billing period. Any remaining top-up credits stay on your account after cancellation and are still usable on the Free plan.
Subscriptions: Because the Service delivers AI-generated content that consumes computing resources as soon as it is produced, we do not offer routine refunds for subscription fees. If you cancel, you keep access to the end of your paid period (see section 6).
Top-up credits: Top-up credit purchases are final and non-refundable.
Exceptions: We will consider refunds on a case-by-case basis for genuine problems, including accidental duplicate charges, billing errors, or a verified technical failure that prevented you from using the Service during a significant portion of your billing period. UK consumer rights: Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you normally have a 14-day cooling-off period for online purchases. However, by using the Service and generating content immediately after subscribing, you expressly consent to the performance of the Service beginning immediately and acknowledge that you lose your right to cancel under the 14-day cooling-off period once AI content generation has begun. This does not affect your statutory rights where they cannot be excluded by contract.
Your content: You own the rights to the novels, manuscripts, and creative content you generate using NovelForge. You are the author and you are solely responsible for how you use, publish, or distribute that content.
Our platform: We retain all rights to the NovelForge platform, software, design, branding, and documentation. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property beyond the right to use the Service as described.
AI-generated content: Content produced by the AI is generated based on your creative inputs. We make no claim of ownership over your generated works. However, we do not warrant that AI-generated content is original, non-infringing, or free from similarities to existing published works. It is your responsibility to review all content before publication.
You agree not to use the Service to:

NovelForge is a writing tool, not a publisher. We do not publish, distribute, or submit content to Amazon KDP or any other platform on your behalf.
If you choose to publish content generated using NovelForge, you are solely responsible for:

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
All stories and characters created by NovelForge are entirely fictional. Any resemblance to real people, living or dead, or to actual events is purely coincidental.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service.
Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the total fees paid by you in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or via a prominent notice on the Service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
